This is an ideal location for walking direct from the door, including the Monsal Trail, Pennine Bridleway and the Limestone Way. Bakewell and the spa town of Buxton are within 5 miles with numerous attractions and shops. Historic houses such as Chatsworth and Haddon Hall, as well as several National Trust properties, are within easy driving distance, as are the Blue John Caves in Castleton. Cycle hire on Monsal Trail, 1 mile. Horse riding and golf can be found locally. Shop on campsite, 300 yards, pub 1 mile.

We had the most lovely stay and would highly recommend the Barn End Cottage. The cottage was clean and comfortable, with everything you could need.It is really well positioned for exploring the area.

We have had an absolutely wonderful time staying in this beautiful barn conversion. The barn is amazing decorated to a high spec throughout. You can literally walk in and have everything to hand. The owners have thought of all you could possibly need, just take food, your clothing and toiletries. Overall myself husband and 10 year old bulldog loved everything about our stay and will definitely book again for next year as well as recommending to friends and family. It’s in a gorgeous part of the Peak District with Buxton & Bakewell a short 15 minute car journey away. Loved it so much we didn’t want to leave. Thank you to the owners for making it a special place 👍😊
