Centrally positioned upon the main market street of Buxton, a bustling town in Derbyshire, is Botu Cottage, a delightful, single-storey property, inviting two guests and a furry companion. Near the Peak District National Park and a host of local amenities, Botu Cottage delivers a stylish abode with an open-plan living space, a sumptuous double bedroom, and off-road parking, making it the ideal base for a romantic, self-catered stay; due to it's single-storey layout, it's also a retreat for those with limited mobility. Refresh in the contemporary bathroom, featuring a bath and shower over, before retiring to the double bedroom, adorning ample storage, homely furnishings, and patio doors out to the bistro furniture. Come morning, plan to tour the town before venturing further, to make memories in Derbyshire. Spend some quality time with your loved one at Botu Cottage. Note: This property can be booked with Ref: 1123902, together sleeping up to 6 guests.
The eight thermal springs in Buxton are a constant 28 degrees Celsius, and this temperature is what initially drew the Romans to the area. However, the Palladian splendour of the Buxton of today was designed and constructed during the 18th and 19th centuries under the patronage of succeeding Dukes of Devonshire. This includes the magnificent semi-circular Crescent, The Great Stable, Hall Bank, The Square, The Pavilion Gardens, and The Opera House. Visitors can still appreciate these spectacular structures and grounds today, in addition to the Opera House's extensive schedule and yearly festivals of music and the arts. A variety of charming towns and villages are scattered throughout, including Bakewell, Ashford-in-the-Water, Castleton, and Edale, and there is superb walking nearby with rocky peaks to the north and pleasant slopes and dales to the south. The magnificent homes of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are close by and must be seen if visiting this region. a fantastic launching point for exploring the Peak District.
