Guests say

Ardeevin Cottage in Buxton is highly praised for its cleanliness, modern amenities, and thoughtful touches from the owners. Guests appreciate its central location, ideal for exploring the Peak District and enjoying local shops and pubs. While parking can be challenging, the cottage's comfort and welcoming atmosphere, including a welcome pack, make it a popular choice for a home away from home experience.

Guests consistently commend the cottage for its spotless condition and high standard of cleanliness, contributing to a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The central location is frequently highlighted as a major advantage, with easy access to shops, pubs, and the town centre, despite some parking difficulties.

The cottage is described as cosy, warm, and comfortable, with a particularly comfortable bed and well-appointed shower room, although a few guests found the sofa a bit low.

Facilities are generally praised, especially the well-equipped kitchen and modern amenities. However, limited kitchen storage and the absence of a washing machine are noted.

The owners' thoughtfulness is evident in the welcome pack and local information provided, although it is politely noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and not guaranteed.

Buxton is a spa town located in Derbyshire, England. It has the highest elevation, about 1,000 feet above sea level, of any market town in England. It was during the 18th century that the Buxton we know of today was built, including the magnificent semi-circular Crescent, The Great Stable and The Pavilion Gardens. A great base for exploring everything the Peak District has to offer.

Spotlessly clean on arrival and very well equipped. Very comfortable bedrooms with good quality furniture. Great location with a short walk to Crescent, Pavillions etc and lots of pubs and restaurants nearby. A perfect place for a relaxing break in Buxton.

Being there at a particularly cold time of the year, it was very warm with an easy to control heating system. Beds, bedding, shower room and kitchen all very well appointed. I would definitely recommend the cottage to anyone wishing to visit this lovely town and it has the added advantage of being ideally located to go into the town and local shops.

A well stocked, comfortable property, with everything we needed for our break. The stay was made even more special by the lovely Christmas tree and decorations. The weather wasn’t the best, but as the cottage is close to all amenities, it wasn’t a problem. The pub across the road, the Cheshire Cheese was great and dog friendly too, as are most places in Buxton. Thank you to the owners for the welcome gifts, we will definitely return to your lovely home.
