Guests say

Guests consistently praise Number 5 for its comfort, cleanliness, and well-equipped facilities. The cottage's location in the Peak District is ideal for exploring local sights and trails. The hosts are commended for their helpfulness and thoughtful touches, such as festive decorations and welcome baskets. While some mention minor noise from farm activities, the overall sentiment is of a warm, welcoming stay perfect for families and pet owners.

Reviews frequently highlight the cottage's cleanliness, with guests describing it as 'spotless' and 'very clean'. The attention to cleanliness contributes significantly to the positive experiences reported.

The cottage's location is frequently praised for being central and ideal for exploring the Peaks, with easy access to walks and nearby towns. Some guests noted the proximity to a main road, but this did not detract significantly from their enjoyment.

Comfort is a recurring theme, with guests finding the cottage warm, welcoming, and equipped with comfy sofas and beds. The presence of a secure garden adds to the comfort for pet owners.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and all 'mod cons' mentioned. A few guests suggested minor improvements, such as additional kitchenware, but overall the facilities meet guests' needs effectively.

While guests appreciate the thoughtful touches like Christmas decorations and welcome baskets, there is not enough information to guarantee such gestures for future guests. Therefore, while thoughtfulness is evident, it cannot be quantified with a score.

A really super Cottage with everything you need. Nice little garden for the dog, comfy bed, well equipped kitchen and large lounge area. Great WIFI signal, which is always a nonus and plenty of parking. Perfect position for visiting the Peak District.

Superb welcome pack and nicely decorated for Christmas. It was a bonus to be able to walk to the Tissington trail directly from the cottage and handily located a short drive away for walks along Milldale and Beresford Dale. Kedleston Hall is also not far to visit. We couldn't locate a bread bin or bread board and found the lighting a little dim for jigsaws, reading or crochet, etc. We also found the directions to the property could be a bit more exact and detailed - like specifying how many yards/miles from Newhaven. There are no directions provided for people approaching from the south as we were. However, none of these points adversely affected our stay which was lovely for the time of year (Christmas) so these are only minor points we noted.
