Nestled on the outskirts of the bustling village of Castleton, in the Peak District, is this stunning end-terrace, stone cottage. High View Cottage offers a superb base for couples looking to explore Castleton and the Peak District National Park, with direct access to walks, cycle tracks and the famous caverns. It also offers easy access to a number of sleepy villages and delightful towns hosting plenty of historical attractions. The property boasts a wonderful open-plan living space, with a range of comfortable furniture to curl up on of an evening, while catching up watching television, reading or just relaxing. There is a lovely woodburning stove to keep you warm during those chilly evenings.
The kitchen is amply-equipped with everything you could need for a relaxing break to the countryside, whilst the dining area offers a space to enjoy a romantic meal over a glass of wine. Upstairs has a spacious bedroom with king sized bed and a range of quality furnishings, including matching bedside tables with table lamps, ideal for some late night reading. There is a separate shower room with high-quality fixtures and fittings. To the front of the cottage is a stone garden area, with seating and table so you can enjoy a refreshing drink or al fresco dining. A short walk from the cottage is Peveril Castle.

It was extremely clean & warm. The kitchen has everything you need although there isnât any space for prepping food. There is a settee which is quite comfortable & a log burner which, once glowing, was great The bed was really comfortable & both the bedroom & bathroom were lovely The only thing that let it down was that there were no little extras; a small bottle of milk to start us off, matches to light the fire, a guest book (I always read comments because people make suggestions of things to do etc) & routes of local walks. Other than these small things, we had a lovely time thank you

You couldnât stay closer to the Peak Tavern if you tried and can even see it from the bathroom window! The cottage has everything you need for a break (make sure to bring logs and lighters) and is very well looked after. The owner was super helpful and responsive when we had an issue - thank you! We would love to book again.

High cleanliness standards, has everything you need & is in the heart of Castleton with all local amenities on your doorstep as well as the stunning views across the Peak District. To top it off itâs also dog friendly, this is my second stay this year.
