The Cottage Bradwell is a charming, stone-built, terraced cottage settled in the town of Bradwell, in the heart of the Peak District National Park. With nearby amenities and attractions, this pet-friendly abode is ideal for friends, two couples, or a family seeking a tranquil retreat to Derbyshire. Be welcomed into a tastefully appointed home, offering a large and light kitchen/diner filled with ample amenities and contemporary décor, encouraging guests to cook up a storm. Here you can also dine together, before settling into the plush sitting room and enjoying a movie marathon, with the added ambience of a woodburning stove settled into an exposed brick fireplace. When sleep calls, freshen up in the sleek ground-floor shower room, before heading upstairs to retire to either a double or super-king-size zip/link bedroom, both with beautiful décor and storage for all of your belongings. At the rear of the property, the courtyard boasts views across the quaint houses, towards the countryside beyond. Bradwell is a lovely town in the Peak District National Park, offering a small supermarket for all your essentials, as well as a selection of pubs and eateries, including The Shoulder of Mutton, The Bowling Green Inn and a fish and chip shop. From here, there are riverside walks, and many places to hike close by including the Coach and Horses Rock Formation, Bamford Edge with its impressive vires, Wyming Brook Nature Reserve, and Howden Dam. Enjoy an afternoon browsing the shops at Bakewell, indulging in a homemade Bakewell tart, or check out more of the local attractions, which include Pervil Castle, Chatsworth House, The Roaches, and Poole's Cavern. There is so much to be explored with a stay at The Cottage Bradwell.
Bradwell is a pretty village in the Hope Valley, in a prime position in the Peak District National Park. Tideswell, with its renowned Tideswell church, known as the ‘Cathedral of the Peak’ is just four miles from Bradwell. The picturesque village of Castleton is three miles away, home to fascinating caves, including the Blue John Cavern, and is overlooked by the crumbling Mam Tor or 'Shivering Mountain'. The dramatic scenery of Winnats Pass and Edale in the Edale Valley, famous as the start of the Pennine Way, is nearby. Hathersage is just four miles away and has excellent cafes and an open-air, heated swimming pool. Slightly further afield you can potter around the historic market town of Bakewell, or the Spa town of Buxton, renowned for its spring water, opera house and arts, jazz and opera festivals. It is easy to spend a whole day at Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, whilst there are many historic properties nearby. Pull on your boots and enjoy the spectacular scenery, or explore a web of cycling trails, with bike hire available on the Monsal Trail, the Tissington Trail and at the Derwent Reservoir.
