The Hayloft in the Peak District offers a comfortable and scenic getaway with spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and welcoming hosts. Guests appreciate the property's character, views, and proximity to walks and local attractions. While some guests mention issues with cleanliness and maintenance, others praise the well-equipped kitchen and cosy wood burner.
Cleanliness scores are mixed, with several guests reporting issues such as dust, mould, and general untidiness. However, others found the property clean, suggesting inconsistency in cleaning standards.
The location is highly praised for its scenic views, peacefulness, and proximity to local walks and attractions. It is considered ideal for a quiet getaway and exploring the Peak District.
Guests find the beds very comfortable and the living spaces spacious and relaxing. The presence of en-suite bathrooms and a wood burner adds to the comfort level, although some mention the property can be cold.
Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable furniture. However, there are reports of maintenance issues such as non-functioning appliances and inadequate heating, which affect the score.
While some guests mention receiving eggs and a warm welcome, there is not enough consistent information about thoughtful gestures such as welcome packs or gifts to provide a score. It should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed.

Mark was a lovely helpful host. Wood burner was lovely and made all the difference. Would definitely return.

Plenty of walks within walking distance from the Hayloft, with Combs reservoir down the hill. Local pubs are also within walking distance, the beehive is a great pub to visit also pet friendly. The only downside is when visiting during winter and if there is a frost the steps leading up to the property are very slippery so we would advise a facility to spread salt somewhere so the customers can treat the steps.
Hayley
A few little niggles which Mark sorted, items not available on arrival, dishwasher not working properly and although it says starter pack for log burner provided thus is not the case
