About this property

Parlour Barn is a delightful barn conversion, situated on the outskirts of the thriving town of Leek, in Staffordshire, and resting alongside the Peak District National Park. This abode provides an exceptional base for exploring all this picturesque region has to offer, with a wonderfully modern décor inside, giving you a warm and welcoming feeling. Spend your evenings in the open-plan living room, with a lovely L-shaped sofa to curl up on, and a woodburning stove for that extra bit of warmth. The kitchen has all the appliances you could need to cook up a storm for the whole family, with a large dining area for family gatherings. There are three ground floor bedrooms, all exceptionally decorated with modern furnishings and their own TV's and are individual to store your personal items and served by a family bathroom. Delight in the provided hot tub in the enclosed garden to the front, where you can sink into the warm water and let those bubbling jets work their magic. Or you can enjoy the sauna after a day's walking. Continuing to impress is the thatched deluxe heated outdoor garden hut ideal for outdoor dining, entertaining and playing games. Just down from the cottage lies the communal games shack – the ultimate Wild West-themed games room for fun with friends and family. Here you’ll find pool, air hockey, table tennis, table football and a classic arcade game console featuring 60 of those retro favourites we all know and love. There’s also a karaoke machine on hand for musical entertainment, as well as a tuned piano and guitar. A perfect place to return to after a long day sightseeing. Note: This property can be booked with refs. 1164383 and 1164378, together sleeping up to 20 guests.

The hillside market town of Leek, known as “The Queen of the Moorlands” is situated on the western side of The Peaks and is surrounded by lovely Moorland countryside. The town has a charming cobbled market place and there are many examples of fine Victorian architecture influenced by William Morris - a reminder of the town’s prosperity when it was renowned as a silk manufacturing centre. Today Leek offers a wide selection of shops including vast antique emporiums, a good selection of restaurants, a local park and leisure facilities and real ale pubs. Situated close to Three Shires Head, the meeting point of the counties of Cheshire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire, Leek is near to Chatsworth House, Buxton Opera House and Gawsworth Hall, plus Alton Towers is within driving distance.
