Visit the nearby village of Ashburnham, 1 mile away, and enjoy the walk at Ashburnham Place, then head to one of the village's many eateries to indulge in some local fare. Herstmonceux Castle Estate and Garden, just 3.5 miles away, has over 600 acres of woodland and formal gardens to explore. Alternatively, head 14 miles to the coast at Hastings and visit the Smugglers' Caves, the Seal Life Centre or enjoy a round of crazy golf. Eastbourne, located 15 miles away, offers a range of family attractions, including Treasure Island. Drusillas Park in Alfriston, 20 miles away, is another great family day out.
