Follow the advice on the booking, call Emma for more specific directions, don't bring a low-profile vehicle and drive slowly. We had no problems at all doing just that. The cottage is part of a group of buildings forming a smallholding and the accommodation is all upstairs on the first floor. Perfect for a couple's getaway. We arrived to discover a bottle of prosecco, a birthday cake for my husband and gluten free cakes for me - such a wonderful, kind and thoughtful touch. Standard provisions were bread butter jam eggs and milk (amazing!) plus a small basket of little things that you might have forgotten to pack, placed in the bedroom (like toothbrush, toothpaste, wipes etc). Again, so thoughtful! We only stayed 2 nights so didn't get to the local pub. Visited Battle and Hastings and loved the area but didn't have the energy for proper sightseeing. It was only a short break primarily to get away and relax on my husband's birthday and Kingfisher Granary was absolutely perfect. We slept amazingly well! We would definitely recommend a holiday there and are hoping to return for a longer stay.
