This charming, detached stables conversion is the perfect spot for a couple or small family. Whether taking a break to the countryside, exploring the historic town of Whitchurch, or wanting to do some fishing on the famous River Test, this is such a great spot. It has been lovingly put together by the owners, who live in the nearby farmhouse.

The living room and dining room are on the first floor and feature gorgeous views across the surrounding fields. Skylights and large windows make everything bright and airy. The two double bedrooms are downstairs, both with their own bathrooms. The second bedroom has a zip and link, providing options for groups. There is plenty of parking space outside, in front of the barn. There is also a woodshed for storing bikes, and an outside tap for cleaning dogs, wellies or other outdoor bits and bobs. The back garden has a patio with outside furniture for relaxing in the rural environs, and being fully enclosed is ideal for dogs or children. Best of all, perhaps, there is an Astroturf tennis court on site, so bring your racquets and book a time with the owners.

The property is accessed via a rough track and footpaths lead right from the property out into the countryside. For those wanting refreshment, the pub is just a short walk across the owner’s field. Dog-sitting is also available, on request. All in all, a perfect, quiet, country retreat. Shop 1 mile, pub 500 yards, restaurant 1 mile. The popular Bombay Sapphire gin distillery is only half a mile away.
