Most guests found Pippin cottage to be clean and pleasant, with particular mention of the bathroom's cleanliness. However, a few guests noted areas that could benefit from more thorough cleaning, such as under beds and sofas, and one instance of mould on curtains. These appear to be exceptions rather than the rule.
The location is highly praised for its tranquility, proximity to nature reserves, and the picturesque village setting. It serves as a great base for exploring the New Forest, Hampshire Downs, and Dorset coastline, contributing to its high rating.
Guests report the cottage as very comfortable, with underfloor heating and comfortable beds. The cosy atmosphere and the provision of a games room add to the comfort level. Some guests suggested improvements to bedding options during warmer weather.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen, powerful shower, and bonus games room. Some guests suggested the need for more kitchenware and a better mattress, but overall, the facilities meet guests' needs effectively.
The thoughtful gestures by the host, such as the provision of a homemade cake on arrival, are frequently mentioned and appreciated. While these gestures enhance the guest experience, it is noted that such personal touches may vary and are not guaranteed.
