Take the stairs to the next floor and three bedrooms boast calmness and serenity for you to unwind after a long day, all complete with a nautical theme and quirky accessories. The colour scheme is a breath of fresh air and you can sleep peacefully and wake up to it all over again. A family bathroom is an all-white suite with shower cubicle. Spend your free time in the enclosed garden admiring the far-reaching views across the castle and beyond. Newport boasts a shopping centre, with riverside walks, cafés, a thriving arts centre and multiplex cinema, museums and parks. Being close to the centre of the island, Newport makes an excellent touring base with good road links to all the beaches, countryside and tourist attractions. The property is located at one end of the Tennyson Way which is a beautiful walk along the spine of the island with stunning views to all sides. Queen Victoria's daughter Beatrice came to Clatterford House in 1927 and had tea in the garden which has spectacular views of Carisbrooke Castle and down the Bowcombe Valley.
Newport makes an excellent touring base with good road links to all the beaches, countryside and tourist attractions. Not to be missed are Carisbrooke Castle, Osborne House, Queen Victoria's Italianate summer home, the glorious beaches of Ryde, The Isle of Wight Steam Railway, Ventnor's Botanic Gardens, and The Needles. We enjoyed the peaceful location and made great use of the hot tub! Nici and Dave were brilliant hosts too. We hope to come back one day!

(5 Nights) It was lovely being so close to Carisbrooke Castle too, which can be seen from the garden. Time to relax in the hot tub when it was raining, then out later in the day. The hot tub is a great temperature too and easy to work. Property was very clean and beautifully furnished. A lovely IOW goody basket filled with tasty treasures from around the island was left on the kitchen table for us. Great garden especially for us and our two dogs. No need to worry about your pooches when your in the tub. Just outside the front door to the left there are fresh eggs to buy from your hosts chickens. Very nice treat for breakfast. Fantastic host very friendly and good with all communications. We will be returning to your beautiful home. Thank you.
