Guests say

Daisy's Cottage Annexe in Ventnor is praised for its welcoming hosts, beautiful garden, and generous welcome packs. Guests appreciate the local walks and proximity to attractions. While cosy and adequate for a holiday stay, some guests note the need for a deep clean and updates to decor and facilities.

Guests have raised concerns about cleanliness, mentioning dirty floors and surfaces, and suggesting a deep clean is needed. However, not all reviews mention this issue.

The location is highly regarded for its peacefulness, beautiful views, and accessibility to local amenities and attractions, making it an excellent base for exploring.

The cottage is described as cosy and comfortable with a lovely garden to relax in. However, some guests mention that the bed could be improved and the seating is uncomfortable.

While the cottage is appreciated for its charm, guests note a lack of kitchen equipment and issues with the shower temperature. The decor is also considered dated by some.

The hosts are commended for their thoughtfulness, providing generous welcome packs and attending to guests' needs. It should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, may not be guaranteed.

What an absolutely lovely little cottage! The owners were incredibly welcoming and generous and went above and beyond to make sure we were well looked after: there were baskets for food (mainly local produce) for us and especially for our two pups, and we were regularly topped up with fruit and veg from their garden and eggs from their hens! The garden was beautiful - the most lovely we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. It was secure and perfect for our two older terriers (but larger and more energetic dogs may be able to jump out, plus we could easily see the owners’ chickens which could be problematic for some dogs. These absolutely weren’t issues for us but just highlighting for others!). The cottage itself was very cosy and clearly had a lot of love put into it. It was relatively basic in terms of kitchen equipment, etc. but it suited us well. The location was fantastic. We enjoyed many walks and runs along the surrounding footpaths and loved that we didn’t have to drive everyday! That being said, there are lots and lots of fantastic places to visit nearby (within ~half a hour’s drive). Our favourites included the donkey sanctuary, botanic gardens, model village, and garlic farm! Thank you for such a wonderful, wholesome stay - we would love to return one day!
