Lovely cosy cottage with steep stairs and creaky boards all part of the character of a listed building. Lovely bottle of wine as a welcome. Some aspects are tired but overall clean. High Street is quite busy and noisy at times. Countryside walks from the door and 15mins walk to train for Canterbury, London and the coast. Great location for exploring and fabulous pubs 5mins walk.

Wonderful time in the cottage - very cozy, all the amenities you need, very clean and quiet. And the location is amazing - Fordwich has so much history, surrounded by beautiful countryside, offering all kinds of hiking opportunities. And they’re is so much more to explore in nearby Canterbury and beyond. Plus there is an excellent restaurant just 3 minutes walk from the cottage (George and Dragon). I wish to add the owner is accommodating, helpful and responsive. We’ll be back.

We had a delightful holiday at Bow Cottage. It is ideally situated to explore Canterbury & the surrounding area, with some lovely walks from the doorstep. Pub just a short stroll, Turkish restaurant, Chinese takeaway, & Co-op also an easy walk to reach. We felt Bow Cottage needed a little TLC but it had everything we needed. Of note, the road through the town is very busy and clearly used as a short cut,.therefore quite a bit of traffic noise during commuting hours but this didn't bother us.
