Continuing along the coast are the beaches of Sandgate and Mermaid (both within 8 miles). Take the family for an animal-packed afternoon at Port Lympne Safari Park or Howletts Wildlife Sanctuary (14 miles). A plethora of towns and villages lie within easy reach, including Dover, Hythe and Deal (all within 14 miles).
