Retreat to the double bedroom after a day of exploring for a restful night’s sleep. Situated on the outskirts of the small village of Eastry, with picturesque walking routes to the village, and the friendly village pub is a 15-minute walk or 2-minute drive away. The historic, charming town of Sandwich, a 5-minute drive away, is one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Britain, with its pretty streets lined with historic buildings and quaint cottages, set back from, and overlooking the quay, with a choice of independent restaurants, cafés, pubs and individual shops. There are boat trips from Sandwich taking you to marvel at the seals lining the edge of Pegwell Bay Nature Reserve, a real sight to see. For a day at the beach, Sandwich Bay is certainly worth a visit, whilst the shingled beach at Deal is also nearby, within a 15-minute drive; as well as the vibrant, creative centre of Deal, with intriguing art galleries, boutique shops, and excellent eateries. The Honey House really is in an ideal position for exploring much of Kent’s hot spots, coast, and countryside.

The cottage was very small but suited us, I would not expect the cottage to cater for more than two people. It was clean and reasonably appointed. There was no ice cube maker in the freezer, the knives were all blunt and no sharpener, which are minor things. There was a lovely welcome pack. Also products to clean with, washing up liquid and handwashing liquid. The bed was comfortable and clean. All in all a good holiday for two people.

We had a lovely stay at Honey house. Well equipped, clean and comfortable. Had most things needed for a great stay. If there was reclining sofa or footstool that would of been great for us. Loved the welcome basket and seeing the goats every day. The surrounding areas were great to visit. Honey house is in a quiet location which was amazing for us. Definitely be visiting again. A lovely property that was spotlessly clean with everything that you could need for a very comfortable stay. The courtyard is totally enclosed, so perfect for our dogs and the addition of a small field, which was just for the Honey House guests use, was a perfect place to let the dogs have some off lead time.
