Situated on the outskirts of the small village of Eastry, with picturesque walking routes to the village, and the friendly village pub is a 15-minute walk or 2-minute drive away. The historic, charming town of Sandwich, a 5-minute drive away, is one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Britain, with its pretty streets lined with historic buildings and quaint cottages, set back from, and overlooking the quay, with a choice of independent restaurants, cafés, pubs and individual shops. There are boat trips from Sandwich taking you to marvel at the seals lining the edge of Pegwell Bay Nature Reserve, a real sight to see. For a day at the beach, Sandwich Bay is certainly worth a visit, whilst the shingled beach at Deal is also nearby, within a 15-minute drive; as well as the vibrant, creative centre of Deal, with intriguing art galleries, boutique shops, and excellent eateries. The Honey House really is in an ideal position for exploring much of Kent’s hot spots, coast, and countryside.

We had a wonderful stay at Honey House, just outside of Sandwich, in a truly great location. It was perfectly placed for us as we were visiting family near Ramsgate, and we also enjoyed lovely days out in Margate and Whitstable Harbour. The accommodation itself is a small, bijou gem — clean, tidy, beautifully kept, off road and with everything you could possibly want for a peaceful break. It was incredibly quiet and relaxing, and our dogs absolutely loved it too.We were lucky enough to meet the owner, who was genuinely lovely and welcoming. The setting is charming, with fantastic goats, friendly dogs, and a really clean, well-maintained location that adds to the whole experience. The only small thing that might improve it further would be an electric vehicle charging point. This wasn’t a deal-breaker at all for us, as our car runs on both electric and petrol, but it would be a nice option to have available.Overall, Honey House offered everything you’d want from a peaceful countryside stay, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. A truly lovely place — we’d happily return. Stew and Tammy Pritchard

Excellent place to stay - exactly what we were looking for. Just wanted some peace and quiet away from the bustle of life. Loved seeing the goats! We took our little dog and having the secure field for her to run around was great. Welcome hamper was a nice touch. Would happily recommend

Myself and a friend stayed over Christmas and was very disappointed that there was nothing festive either inside or outside the property, apart from a pack of mince pies in the small welcome pack. Also disappointed in the description of the walks available in the area, these are not readily available especially in midwinter and having to cross a B road to access these. The accommodation was sufficient for our 5 day stay, however some small additions like Xmas decs would have helped somewhat. Although the property was clean it was a basic clean and the sofa could do with being moved, along with the blinds. An air fryer would have been a big addition and also working Netflix, especially for this period of the year. All being said we made our own Christmas, would we go again, afraid to say No. We would recommend, just do your own research into the area and if its dog walks you want, research some more. Unfortunately it would appear I didnt do enough research.
