Retreat to the double bedroom after a day of exploring for a restful night’s sleep. Situated on the outskirts of the small village of Eastry, with picturesque walking routes to the village, and the friendly village pub is a 15-minute walk or 2-minute drive away. The historic, charming town of Sandwich, a 5-minute drive away, is one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Britain, with its pretty streets lined with historic buildings and quaint cottages, set back from, and overlooking the quay, with a choice of independent restaurants, cafés, pubs and individual shops. There are boat trips from Sandwich taking you to marvel at the seals lining the edge of Pegwell Bay Nature Reserve, a real sight to see. For a day at the beach, Sandwich Bay is certainly worth a visit, whilst the shingled beach at Deal is also nearby, within a 15-minute drive; as well as the vibrant, creative centre of Deal, with intriguing art galleries, boutique shops, and excellent eateries. The Honey House really is in an ideal position for exploring much of Kent’s hot spots, coast, and countryside.

The Honey House is a tranquil idyll for pups and people alike. Set amid peaceful fields on the outskirts of the village of Eastry, Honey House is the perfect place to get away from it all whilst still being reasonably close to amenities and activities – Sandwich, Deal and Ramsgate are all nearby. The bungalow itself is small but perfectly formed. A private courtyard leads into an open plan lounge/kitchen featuring a sofa bed with the double bedroom and a shower room at the rear. Everything you could conceivably need has been provided, from the basic necessities (crockery, cutlery etc.) to the delightfully unexpected (a welcome basket complete with freshly laid eggs and dog treats). The owners have also provided most of the daily essentials including washing tablets for the dishwasher, soap, plenty of towels and even a dog bowl so you don’t need to bring your own. The accommodation is ideally suited for two people … three at a push. Honey House’s pièce de résistance is its own private field for use by guests and their furry friends. Fully secure and large enough to get up a real head of steam, our dog absolutely loved it and would often go to the gate several times a day to demand some play time.

This is a rural location in beautiful countryside and friendly neighbours (goats) The accommodation is perfect for a couple, we also took our dog who enjoyed the dog treats. The decor is fitting with the name, with an enclosed patio area. We loved our stay here and had evenings seeing bats flying at dusk and star gazing due to the lack of light pollution.
