Surrounded by woodland, orchards and arable paddock complete with grazing horses, this is a superb holiday venue. Tilmangate Barn is a very spacious barn conversion that is airy and bathed in natural light with an entrance hall leading to double bed, bathroom and well-equipped kitchen.
The pretty double bedroom decorated in soft ivory is bright and spacious with high ceilings, exposed beams and has lovely views over the farmland. There is also a charming and cosy single bedroom to house another guest. You’ll also find a bathroom with a walk-in shower cubicle, wash hand basin and toilet. From the kitchen, doors lead into the charming lounge in shades of lemon, ivory and grey creating a serene space with a comfortable three-seater sofa and single tub chair. From the lounge patio doors open out into the delightful concrete based courtyard for parking directly outside of Tilmangate Barn, with pots of colourful shrubs. It has a raised patio area with a garden table and chairs for outside dining during your stay.

Lovely place very clean, very peaceful, beds very hard and uncomfortable. There was plenty of storage for clothes.. Tea and coffee provided but no milk in the fridge which would be a bonus and to have a cuppa after a long journey.

Our second visit to this area which is so peaceful and quiet.Kent has much to offer the tourist whether it be beautiful countryside and its many historical buildings especially the N.T properties close by,or further afield to the coastal areas.We particularly like Tenterden which is a beautifully compact busy town with plenty of shops and cafes,our favourite being the Lemon Tree on the high street, serving excellent food and drink.We certainly intend to return a third time to Tilmangate Barn,to continue our exploration of Kent and its wonderful variety it has to offer.
