Two holiday apartments in one of the farm buildings provide ground floor and first floor accommodation around their own rural gated courtyard. They are surrounded by fields and farm animals and there are walks in abundance from the doorstep. Explore the local countryside with its ancient rights of way and bridleways, ideal for walkers and for horse riding. They lie just 10 miles from historic Canterbury, and you can take a boat ride on the River Stour, visit the historic cathedral or maybe take in a show. Port Lympne Wild Animal Park, Howletts and Wingham Wildlife Park make great days out. Folkestone is 5 miles and Dover is 8 miles. Visit the Roman Painted House, Dover Castle and the iconic white cliffs. Bring your passport so you can enjoy day trip to France. The property was ideal for us. A good base to explore an area of the country we had not been before. We had plenty of rooms for Callie the Cat to explore which she really enjoyed. The only problem we had were the sofas were a bit low and soft for the older members of our party to extract themselves from. Overall, I would definitely recommend a stay here, the owners were very helpful with any questions we had.

Overall we had a good stay. We slept well as it was lovely and quiet. The location was great, only a few minutes away from the main road so getting around visiting places like Canterbury, Folkestone, Ashford and Howletts Wild Animal Park was between 15-30min travel. Local amenities are good just a few minutes drive away. Our family enjoyed the benefit of the shared games room playing pool, table tennis, air hockey and darts. The property itself has lots of good points, good kitchen, two toilets, 4 good sized bedrooms and a huge Lounge/Diner right in the middle of the apartment. The only downsides were that some of the sofas and a dining chair need replacing due to wear and tear. Some of the outside of the property needs some repair too. I would also recommend getting splittable beds as this would be more attractive for families whose kids don’t want to share a bed. But as I say, overall, we had a good visit and would return and score higher if the above issues were resolved. The property has so much potential. Thank you to our hosts.

Our family stayed here for 5 days and it was a beautiful break. The grounds are stunning, its in an ideal location not far from Canterbury, Folkestone Harbour and other towns, you can spend your time relaxing in the beautiful courtyard or the barn, or take a trip out for the day. On arrival we were greeted by Emma who was lovely and so helpful, giving us tips on where to eat and what to see. The barn itself really has so much character, the lounge is huge and the kitchen has everything you need, it was really cosy, clean and felt so homely. Reading the other reviews, people have complained about bits here and there but you have to understand that the building is listed and its old, there are always going to be things that aren't perfect but for the price you are paying, like us, im sure it will exceed your expectations. The games room is also amazing, its huge and we had so much fun using it. Theres lots of parking on site and there is no noise from anything around you. We had such a lovely family stay here and will definitely be returning, thanks so much!
