Climbing the stairs to the first floor you'll discover the master bedroom, home to a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom, where you can look forward to an indulgent soak amongst the bubbles in the luxurious bath, alongside a double and a twin, both framing marvellous views across the North Sea. Pack your bucket and spade and take advantage of the steps that lead down from the property to the beach, where you can enjoy combing the shores, basking in the sun and sand, or trying your hand at sailing or windsurfing. After working up an appetite, head into the centre of Birchington-on-Sea where you'll discover a fantastic selection of delicious eateries to choose from; indulge in seaside tradition and savour fresh fish and chips with a walk along the promenade, treat yourself to a slice of cake at one of the quaint cafes, or head to The Wheel Alehouse for a crisp pint. The beautiful sandy bay of Minnis Bay is also an excellent spot for a walk along a beach with wonderful views, as well as a host of delicious eateries to tryout whilst here. Lace up your walking boots and embark on an adventure along the coastal path to the nearby town of Margate, where you can expect thrills aboard the fairground rides at Dreamland, immerse yourself in local history with a tour of Margate Museum, or explore the unexplained tunnel network of Shell Grotto, decorated with shells and a mosaic chamber. Catch the train and head to Ramsgate, where you can watch the world go by as the boats sail in at the Royal Ramsgate Marina, or enjoy a leisurely stroll through the beautifully-maintained grounds of King George VI Memorial Park, boasting far-reaching coastal views and a quirky café positioned within a greenhouse. The cathedral city of Canterbury is within easy reach, once occupied by the Romans and steeped in fascinating history, here you can tour the exhibitions on display in the subterranean museum, discover the 6th century ruins of St Augustine's Abbey, or marvel at the Norman-era architecture of Canterbury Cathedral. If that's not your thing, head to The Marlowe Theatre to catch a live performance, test your swing with a round of golf at the picturesque 18-hole course, or get dressed to the nines and enjoy a night on the town. It is in a beautiful location which is obviously an asset but the whole property was delightful. It is ideal for a large group and very easy to stay in. It is very comfortable and there has been so much attention to detail. We also love Birchington with its bustling high street.

We stayed over Xmas 2023 and there is every facility you could want. Quite apart from the location, on the cliff top above the promenade right on the sea with essentially unbroken sea views from the conservatory and two back bedrooms, the house itself is wonderful. The owners could not have been more helpful, we had some concerns over some of the more recent feedback but they gave detailed reassurance of fixes and changes that had been made including replacing the patio doors and central heating controls. A vast kitchen fully stocked with every gadget and tool you could need, a huge living/dining room with a wonderful log burner, and four very comfortable bedrooms, that's without even mentioning the wonderful welcome pack and beautiful Christmas tree. Thank you so much, Christmas was a triumph.

The chairs ,settees were uncomfortable to sit on for a long time ,they may look modern but on holiday you need comfort. Also a curtain on the front living room window would give privacy to occupants on holiday. Elaine,Diane ,Marie and Bill
