Guests say

Botany Bay Bungalow is praised for its excellent location near the beach and its suitability for dog owners, with a secure garden and peaceful setting. The property is described as spacious, with good heating and Wi-Fi. While some guests find the property clean and comfortable, others suggest improvements in cleanliness and maintenance.

Mixed feedback on cleanliness, with some guests satisfied and others noting areas needing attention, such as cobwebs and stained cutlery. The property is generally seen as tidy but would benefit from more thorough cleaning.

The bungalow's location is highly praised for its proximity to the beach, local pubs, and scenic walks, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and exploration.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the living areas spacious, though some mention dated decor and a need for warmer touches like extra blankets and better bedding.

Facilities are adequate with some minor issues noted, such as the need for sharper knives, larger cooking pots, and minor DIY repairs. The garden and heating are appreciated, but some appliances and furniture could be updated.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

I was apprehensive in booking this Bungalow due to the reviews and amount of negativity but I was surprised ,the Bungalow was wonderful. ! It is very spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable and has a great power shower. Big Tv and comfy lounge. Heating and wifi also good. It was a bit querky and did look like something out of the 1970's but so what. I enjoyed the stay and great location a few minutes walk to beach. I would not hesitate in booking this again. I dont know why people gave this negative reviews - were they expecting the Ritz

Second visit to the bungalow its location is perfect for walking on the beach and cliffs. Great pubs within walking distance, other reviews are correct dated feel to some of the rooms and it does need a sharp knife if you’re planning to cook. But would not hesitate to book again. Plenty of hot water and heating.

Average, cleanliness was mediocre cobwebs and cutlery and crockery could have been cleaned better. No knives to speak of except a bread knife. No large pans, limited chopping boards. Bedrooms smelt damp.Shower cubicle-needed a good clean around the base.On a plus WiFi good, heating good. Excellent for the beach and walks. No rear outside lightning.
