About this property

The Cavern is an inviting house in Nursling, Hampshire, featuring off-road parking, an enclosed garden with a hot tub, and generous living spaces designed for families and groups. Sleeping up to eight guests across four bedrooms, this well-presented retreat places Hampshire's countryside, city attractions, and renowned family days out within easy reach.

Arrive and step into a bright interior where sociable spaces encourage everyone to come together. At the heart of the home sits the kitchen and dining area, providing ample room to prepare meals, gather over breakfast, or plan adventures across the county. Whether it's a celebratory dinner or a laid-back evening indoors, the open layout makes spending time together effortless.

Move through to the sitting room, where comfortable seating and a Smart TV create a welcoming space to unwind after busy days exploring. Upstairs, four thoughtfully arranged bedrooms offer flexible accommodation, including a king-size bedroom with its own en-suite shower room, two further king-size bedrooms, and a twin room suited to both children and adults. A family bathroom serves the remaining bedrooms and completes the accommodation.

Outside, the enclosed garden provides an excellent setting for making the most of warmer days. Enjoy drinks on the patio, watch children and dogs play on the lawn, or sink into the bubbling hot tub beneath the evening sky.

When it's time to explore, discover the historic market town of Romsey, home to the magnificent Romsey Abbey, King John's House, and the beautiful Broadlands estate. Head into Southampton to explore SeaCity Museum, Southampton City Art Gallery, and the medieval city walls that trace the city's rich maritime heritage. For outdoor adventures, venture to Brockenhurst in the New Forest National Park, where walking trails, cycling routes, and free-roaming ponies create memorable days in the open air. However you choose to spend your Hampshire getaway, The Cavern offers a wonderful base for bringing everyone together.

Tucked away in the Tees Valley and near the coastal town of Middlesborough is the quaint village of Nunthorpe, North Riding of Yorkshire. Home to the breathtaking ancient manor house, Nunthorpe Hall, the village is also served by an array of amenities, including: convenience stores, a primary school, a community centre and local-favourite The Rudds Arms pub. Being on the outskirts of Middlesbrough means that visitors have access to many attractions, nature lovers will benefit from visiting the wetlands of Teesmouth National Nature Reserve where they can go birdwatching, or enjoying a picnic in the Cowpen Bewley Woodland Park. Visitors can also spend the day strolling along the River Tees before watching the local football club play in the Riverside Stadium. Those looking to bask in the sun and sand will take pleasure in the village's easy links to Seaton Carew Beach, where they can lay on the soft sands before partaking in a game of golf on the beachside golf course. The village is served by two railway stations, providing visitors brilliant access to the nearby towns of Hartlepool and Darlington, allowing them to make the most of North Yorkshire.
