Downsview Cottage is conveniently located just over a mile south of the picturesque town of Arundel. Here, you can explore unique shops, stunning architecture, an imposing castle, and a riverside setting. Don’t miss the WWT Wetland Centre, Swanbourne Lake, and the South Downs National Park, all within a 5-minute drive. The area is also dotted with stately homes and gardens.
For motorsport enthusiasts, Goodwood with its world-famous circuit and horse racing venue is just a 20-minute drive away. You can even enjoy an airborne sightseeing experience from the grass runway airport, offering breathtaking views of the coastline. Dogs are welcome everywhere at Goodwood. Chichester, with its cathedral and Festival Theatre, is a short drive away, and Brighton is only 18 miles distant. An update is really needed in terms of the kitchen ie a new dishwasher as the current one had broken runners on the top shelf, leaking kitchen tap, rusty cooker with poor seals in the grill section, condensation build up in the bathroom after showering meant that you had to leave the door open even though the fan was on.

Great place. Very well equipped cottage, spacious bedroom, fantastic paddock for the dogs to run around.The bed was a bit too soft for our liking and fleece bedding felt unusual but that is just our personal feeling. Six bells pub was accommodating, food was nice. West beach was lovely and quiet, perfect for the dogs to run around.We will definitely go back.

Downsview is a lovely cottage. I've not stayed anywhere that has so much equipment. From kitchen essentials (above and beyond) to dog beds, dog crate etc. And super dog friendly, which is really unusual. Some reviews mentioned it needs updating in areas, but don't let that put you off. Everything works perfectly. Owner is lovely, I had an issue which was resolved within a couple of hours. Very impressive. Hoping to stay next door in 2027 (when the dates are available 🤞🏼)
