Along this 160km National Trail, you can walk through ancient woodlands, carpeted with bluebells; watch roe deer darting through wildflower meadows; witness hares boxing or even spot a red kite hunting above.
There’s so much to do and see in the South Downs area, from walking, cycling or horse riding across the Downs, exploring wildlife in the wetlands, visiting one of the many heritage sites to experiencing opera at the world famous Glyndebourne. The site is adjacent to Hassocks community football club - it is likely guests will hear some low level match noise during games.

We stayed here August Bank Holiday weekend with a Wedding Party of 16 for my Sons Wedding at Pangdean on the Sunday.Lovely secure location in stunning location and all lodges beautifully equipped and designed.Well done to the owners of the property as we all loved it and would definitely return.

A really high quality lodge, well equipped and very comfortable. Easy walking distance to Hassocks with shops, places to eat and drink and railway station (just 2 stops to Brighton). Bus to Brighton also goes from just outside.

We had a very nice stay at Cedar Lodge. It was clean and comfortable and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. It was very private but my daughter and myself found the hedges at the front a bit too high and would have preferred to see out a bit more but my husband preferred them the way they were so it’s personal preference . We all agreed the mattresses had seen better days but the duvets were so comfortable I will purchase some next time we need replacements.The curtains in the 2nd bedroom could be thicker as it was too light in the room.One day there was very loud maintenance noise, sawing and hammering that went on for several hours until we phoned customer service. They were apologetic and it stopped soon after. This was probably a one off as no other reviews mention this type of noise.We would stay again. Great area, lots to do nearby.
