Facilities comprise an outdoor heated swimming pool with a separate shower, toilet, and changing room, a cinema room, enclosed paddock for dogs, barbecue, sun terrace, river walks, and various seating areas for enjoying the peaceful surroundings. A fully enclosed play area for children features swings, a slide, trampoline, and there is also a games room for both children and adults. Each studio allows one dog and includes a doggy welcome pack, with dogs to be kept on a lead due to potential other dogs on site. Maple has its own private garden. An enclosed paddock is designated for dog use, and there are communal laundry facilities available for guests use.

Modern apartment AND cabin (long story 😆). Professional and very helpful hosts ensured our stay was comfortable. Great value for money. Even though we stayed in winter the weather was kind; cold but kind. It’s a little isolated, so a car was necessary but that did ensure our stay was peaceful as well as pretty.

We had a lovely trip and the lodge was very clean. The extra facilities were fantastic, especially the personal hot tub. However, there was a slight end of season feel. There were lights needing new bulbs in the Lodge and pool area. The owners were lovely when they changed the Lodge bulbs, but it took a few days to happen. They were also very apologetic about the heating not working properly, but plumber not available so we had to leave windows open all the time and even then it was rather warm at night. So was a lovely stay but Lodge needed a bit of TLC and the WiFi signal needs boosting.Would have given 3.5 stars if it was possible - 3 seems a bit harsh, but there were some issues.
