About this property

Nestled in the Cornish village of St Kew Highway is this delightful, three-bedroom dwelling, The Cottage. Within walking distance to a range of amenities, The Cottage offers a light and airy abode, sympathetically restored, mixing both style and tradition, making it a welcoming base for six guests and their furry companion. Benefit of on road parking at the front of the cottage, once inside set up shop in the chic sitting room, featuring plush, cream sofas, an original feature fireplace, and a Smart TV for those relaxing evenings in. Next to the sitting room is the well-equipped kitchen with all the appliances and utensils for a hassle-free, self-catered stay, where you can prepare meals to be enjoyed in the suntrap dining room. Leading out to the rear, multi-level garden, opt for an alfresco affair on sunny days, whilst your four-legged friend roams freely in the enclosed space. Once you’re ready for some rest, three well-appointed bedrooms await, 2x doubles, and a bunk room, offering flexibility for your party; all are serviced by a ground-floor shower room, with separate WC for convenience. Awaken to a coffee in the garden, whilst setting out your coming days, starting locally in the village, where you can dine out and enjoy a tipple at the Red Lion Inn, practise your swing at the local golf club, and stock up on the essentials at the St Kew Farmshop & Café, before heading south to tour the magnificent grounds of Pencarrow House & Garden. Beachgoers will relish in the opportunity to head to the breath-taking shorelines of Cornwall, with Polzeath Beach, Rock Beach and Port Gaverne Beach all reachable by car, whilst outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the clifftop hike towards The Rumps landmark. With Newquay and its hub of attractions within proximity, there’s plenty to see and do in the area, no matter your interests, with Newquay Zoo, Newquay Beach Front, and the golden sands of Fistral Beach all popular choices, before returning home for sundowners in the garden. Escape to the coast at The Cottage.

Located at the southern end of the Allen Valley is the village of St Kew Highway. It offers shops and a pub and on the edge of the village, a nine-hole golf course, with 18 different tees. Just less than a couple of miles away is the village of St Kew, with its church and pub, and there are a number of smaller villages and hamlets in the area, many of which also have a pub. Close by is the market town of Wadebridge, which offers many shops, pubs and restaurants, along with North Cornwall’s only cinema. This part of Cornwall boasts wonderful walking routes, as well as horse riding and cycling opportunities. The coast is nearby, where you will find sandy beaches, rocky coves and towering cliffs, along with the towns of Padstow and Newquay. St Kew Highway is a convenient base for enjoying a mix of north Cornwall’s countryside and coast.

Off road parking half the car was parked on the road. Garden not secure for animals or children.. view out of windows very overgrown with bramble. Left midweek and lost half our holiday.

Dirty fridge, dirty loo floor, severe staining in 2nd bedroom, rubbish left outside, shower dangerously high (fell out and hit my head), smell in main bedroom. Also parking is awful particularly when the big farm vehicles use the lane. The fact that there were no loo rolls or a small welcome pack of essentials was also poor, owner response was ...there's nothing we can do...how about delivering some!
