Launceston 7 miles. Ideally located for an 'escape to the country' this charming beautifully renovated and totally refurbished cottage is set on the a working farm amongst 18 acres in the small hamlet of West Curry just off the road linking Launceston and Bude close to the border between Cornwall and Devon. You will feel relaxed the moment you arrive after accessing the cottage at the very end of a no through road leading to the farm in the heart of the hamlet. You enter the cottage into the hallway where the slate floors run throughout adding to the character and ideal for pets.
Really spacious for two there is a kitchen with dining area cosy sitting room and utility room with WC on the ground floor and a tastefully decorated king size bedroom and bathroom on the first floor. Outside the patio in the garden offers the opportunity to dine al fresco or simply relax and take in the beautiful far reaching moorland views. Lovely walks in the nearby Swannacott Woods, Willow Tree Woodland Walk are 3 miles and further afield Holsworthy woods and the stunning South west coastal path a short drive away. Golfers will have the choice of several excellent courses close by offering a welcome to non members.
The award winning coastal resort of Bude is approx 8 miles away and offers a choice of superb beaches and all you would expect from a leading seaside town. Widemouth Bay and the year round dog friendly beach of Black rock at the southern end also offer excellent walking and swimming opportunities. There are also a number of historic sites which are worth a visit such as the National Trust property Cotehele House, or the Victorian/Edwardian copper mine and port, Morwellham Quay. A really comfortable farmhouse offering great holidays and memories which is available all year round. A beautiful cottage in a tranquil location offering a relaxing holiday all year round.
The town of Launceston, situated on the Devon and Cornwall border, has wonderful architecture and is dominated by the ruins of a Norman castle sitting high above the town. Visit the Tamar Otter Park just 3 miles away or take a trip on the steam train from Launceston through the beautiful Kensey Valley on a 5-mile round trip. Launceston is within driving distance of the seaside resorts of Bude and Padstow to the north, and Plymouth to the south, as well as the stunning Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor.

Remote and quiet on a small working farm but close enough to lots of places to visit. 7kw car charger was incredibly convenient as we have an all electric car and much cheaper than charging on public chargers. Garden secure and great for the dogs and views incredible. Was lovely to see such an array of birds on the feeder in the garden including woodpeckers and Jay's. Can highly recommend Monica's food and again made for lovely cosy evenings without having to worry about going out. Was also lovely to be shown around the farm and get to cuddle lambs and piglets. Cottage was spotless and had everything we wanted. So lovely to find a dog friendly cottage that is so lovely with hosts that respect privacy but are also there whenever you need them. Would highly recommend and hope to be back!

The cottage was clean, cosy and well equipped. We were touched upon arrival to find our lovely hosts had left milk, homemade bread, wine and also a cream tea for us, which was very much appreciated. The cottage was located within easy driving distance of beaches and other attractions. A fantastic find, we will definitely return!

Lovely place for a bit of peace and quite. Clean and tidy. Outside area a lovely place to sit in the sun. Secure area for the dogs. Friendly and welcoming owners nothing is to much trouble.
