The Hayloft in Cornwall is a well-loved holiday rental, praised for its beautiful location, spacious and dog-friendly garden, and comfortable furnishings. Guests appreciate the peaceful setting, sea views, and proximity to local attractions. While most reviews are positive, a few guests have noted areas for improvement, such as Wi-Fi strength and cleanliness on occasion.
Most guests found The Hayloft to be spotlessly clean, contributing to a pleasant stay. However, there was an isolated incident where the cleanliness was not up to standard, which has slightly impacted the overall score.
The location is highly praised for its quiet setting, stunning views, and convenience for exploring South West Cornwall. Its proximity to beaches, restaurants, and pubs in Porthleven is frequently mentioned as a positive aspect.
Guests consistently report that The Hayloft is comfortable, with special mentions of the comfy beds and sofas. There are minor suggestions for improvements, such as a new mattress for the master bed, but overall, the comfort level is rated highly.
The facilities at The Hayloft are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and secure garden for pets. Some guests have suggested additional amenities like garden furniture and stair gates for toddlers. Maintenance issues such as window latches and drainage in the shower have been noted.
While there are positive comments about welcome packs and dog-friendly touches, there is insufficient information to determine the consistency of these thoughtful gestures across all stays. Therefore, a score cannot be provided.
On the edge of Breage, about 500 yards from the pub is The Hayloft, a detached 'upside down' cottage which has been beautifully converted from a stone barn. Inside, is no less impressive, designed to a high standard, great care has been taken to provide you with everything you'll need for a wonderful holiday. We have had a fantastic week . Although one of the coldest weeks of the winter we were lovely and cosy . Our 2 dogs loved running in the very safe enclosed garden . The cottage is so well situated for several beaches to walk on . We also enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch in The Queens Arms which is just a few minutes walk. I would definitely recommend this property and canât wait to come back again.

Each visit we've made, the house has been spotless and clean, and everything is always done to a very high standard. Great sized secure garden for the dogs to run around in. The only slight niggle is the broadband speed, It's very slow at 1.5 Mbps. However, this would not put us off booking again and we look forward to a 4th visit !!

Very close to Porthleven (circa 2 mile walk along quiet country lanes). Local pub serving good ales and food only 5 min walk. House is immaculate and you can tell owners take great care and maintain well between rentals. We stayed here nearly 4 years ago and house was exactly same condition. Will definitely return again and have already recommended to friends and family
