About this property

St Keverne 0.5 miles.

This character barn conversion sits in the beautiful well-kept grounds of Chywoone Farmhouse, in a secluded rural position, half a mile from the pretty village of St Keverne on the Lizard Peninsula. This cosy St Keverne cottage provides well presented accommodation suitable for a family or small group of walkers with a sitting room with feature stone fireplace and woodburner-effect electric fire for those cooler evenings. This St Keverne cottage is furnished in traditional rustic style and is a garden lover's paradise as visitors not only have their own lovely garden to relax in, but can also wander around the 2-acre garden shared with the other cottages. Further afield, Trelissick Garden and Glendurgan are well worth a visit for their sub-tropical plants and carefully landscaped slopes leading down to the water's edge. The Lizard provides ample walking opportunities along the dramatic coastline and the Helford River, while shoppers will love to visit nearby Falmouth with its bustling revived quayside area. This St Keverne cottage provides a fabulous retreat off the beaten track but is only half a mile from the attractive Cornish village of St Keverne with traditional pubs and shops surrounding the square. Note: This property can be booked with Refs. 3998 and 26701, together they sleep 8.

The village of St Keverne lies on the eastern side of The Lizard Peninsula just 1.25 miles inland with its village pubs and shops surrounding the village square, and an impressive church spire, at one time used to guide the Cornish fishermen home. From St Keverne you can explore the spectacular beauty of the Lizard Peninsula by car, bicycle or on foot. You will find tiny secret coves, sandy bays and dramatic cliff walks along the South West Coastal path. Just north is the Helford River, a yachtsman's dream and home to Frenchman's Creek, and picturesque Helford village. Further afield visit Falmouth with one of the largest natural harbours, Pendennis Castle built by Henry viii, and of course you cannot miss out on a trip to The National Maritime Museum.
