Pol Glas Cabin in Helston, Cornwall, is highly praised for its stunning views, cleanliness, and the addition of a hot tub. Guests appreciate the well-furnished, comfortable accommodations and the thoughtful welcome packs. While some minor maintenance issues and suggestions for improvements are noted, the overall experience is one of relaxation and enjoyment, making it a recommended retreat for exploring Cornwall.
The cabin is consistently described as clean and well-maintained, with only a few minor comments about cobwebs and dust. The high level of cleanliness contributes positively to guests' experiences.
The location is frequently highlighted for its peacefulness, lovely views, and proximity to nature, making it an ideal setting for a serene getaway. The scenic backdrop and quiet environment are particularly appreciated.
Guests find the cabin comfortable, with a good bed and well-equipped kitchen. Some guests suggest improvements to seating arrangements and mention the property being slightly small for more than two adults or those with infants.
The facilities, including the hot tub, kitchen appliances, and garden, are well-received. However, maintenance issues like a stiff shower door, noisy heating, and a problematic fridge, as well as a non-functioning hot tub for one guest, affect the score.
The welcome packs with treats such as scones, milk, and tea are mentioned as a thoughtful gesture, enhancing the arrival experience. It should be noted that while these gifts are appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

There were no terrestrial tv channels, luckily we had Netflix but not everyone has. It was listed as having a Nespresso coffee m/c with pods, but this was missing? The user manual was in the drawer but the m/c was missing. Again, not a major issue but some people might rely on it for their coffee. Overall, a great experience, we have already recommended it to friends and we will definitely be back.

View from the property is amazing and such a peaceful area but think the property would bennifit from. Taller fence between the property for added privacy for both propertyâs and the fencing could be made more secure for smaller dogs. Also as others have said the lounge seating area could be made more comfortable with a corner sofa or an extra two seater sofa. The hot tub did break down mid week which was a little disappointing but owner did everything they could to get it sorted and even offered us use of there hot tub in the next door property which was very kind of them.

I gave up in the end. The refrigerator was set to high, which I didn't notice immediately. The freezer section defrosted and the food for the week was spoiled. Once I saw that it had been set to 8 Degrees and not 2 I was able to change it, and it worked fine after that, but too late. The hot tub required 2 people to open it. Since I was on my own...? The hook to keep the door open was broken, so the door needed to be shut or propped open to avoid it slamming. The property was very clean and comfortable. It was also warm, and the garden was excellent for a dog, with good fencing in place. Unless your dog is an escape artist you have no worries about letting it roam free in the garden. It was very peaceful and quiet with excellent views of farmland. It was a shame that the niggles did somewhat spoil the holiday, but I'm sure they can be fixed without a problem.
