When you're not fishing on the two on-site lakes, drive over to Dartmoor National Park to take on the Little Mis Tor or Sittaford Tor hiking sites (18 miles) while admiring the number of wild ponies. Bodmin Moor is 14 miles away and offers a number of windswept trails and ancient stone circles to discover. History lovers will enjoy climbing the 13th-century tower at Launceston Castle (3 miles). You will be rewarded with mesmerising vistas across the countryside, before rounding off the day with a hearty supper at one of the welcoming pubs.
