Guests appreciated the private garden, dog-friendly features, and thoughtful touches such as welcome treats, though these are not guaranteed. While the cottage offers a cosy atmosphere and good amenities, several guests noted that cleanliness and maintenance could be improved, with some mentioning musty smells, tired décor, and occasional issues with bedding and ants. Overall, the property’s location and unique charm stand out, making it a pleasant base for a Cornish holiday.

Several guests reported issues with cleanliness, including musty smells, cobwebs, stained bedding, and an ant problem. While some areas like the bathroom and kitchen were found clean, overall standards were inconsistent and could be improved.

The location was highly praised, with guests highlighting its quiet setting, proximity to shops and the beach, and suitability for exploring Perranporth. The peaceful environment and convenience were consistent positives.

Opinions on comfort were mixed. Some guests found the cottage cosy and homely, while others mentioned uncomfortable, old beds and musty bedding. The layout and dog-friendly garden were appreciated, but improvements to bedding and damp issues are needed.

Facilities were adequate but basic, with some guests missing amenities like a dishwasher, washing machine, and reliable Wi-Fi. Maintenance issues such as tired décor, rusty windows, and a broken kettle were noted, suggesting room for improvement.

Having read previous reviews I was very concerned about our upcoming holiday but when we arrived, I knew that I needn’t have worried. We had a wonderful stay. The property is larger than the average 2 bedroom property we have stayed in previously. The property was clean - kitchen, bathroom, and bedding all very clean. There were cobwebs in places however I feel that this is to be expected given the age of the property. The kitchen was well equipped, we had a 10 night stay and cooked most days. It was good to have a hoover. In terms of suggestions for future, a washing machine, and dishwasher would be very welcome. The location is amazing….right in the heart of Perranporth and yet lovely and quiet with enclosed gardens which my daughter and dog loved. My daughter also loved the nearby park. I would suggest that the directions to find the property are amended to include “turn right at the tennis courts” as it was incredibly difficult to find based on the instructions given. Overall, a brilliant stay and we have already rebooked for a longer stay next year.

A great location, very quiet place to stay.I wouldn't say the place is dirty. It's got cobwebs as you would expect. However bed linen wasnt clean. Pillows stained and marks on duvet covers. It was a shame there wasnt a washing machine or any way of cleaning the laminate floors. The laminate is tired and needs replacing. For a two week stay I would expect a change of towels after the first week.A thorough clean and a bit of updating would make all the difference.

Whilst the cottage is lovely it wasn’t very clean. There was a bad smell of damp and a very big ant problem. I slept in the bottom room night one but the smell of damp was awful even purchasing air freshener didn’t help. The location is perfect and it had everything you need but overall cleanliness and dampWas a turn off.
