Parking is available on the roadside a short distance from the property and as you step inside the cottage, you will discover the compact but well-equipped kitchen/diner, with a fabulous display Cornish Range cooker, as well as an electric oven and hob and fridge with ice box, while the breakfast bar provides an ideal space to enjoy a meal. For a relaxing evening indoors, head to the sitting room and kick back on the cosy sofa or armchair, enjoying your favourite shows on the wall-mounted TV and admiring the lovely exposed brick feature fireplace. The conservatory offers a quiet space to enjoy reading a book or making plans for your stay, overlooking the enclosed gravelled garden, which has a table and chairs and is ideal for alfresco dining in the Cornish sunshine. Upstairs are two spacious bedrooms; the double bedroom offers pretty garden views and a dressing table, while the twin bedroom has dual aspect windows looking out onto the garden, and both rooms are served by the family bathroom, which gives you the choice of shower over bath to prepare for each day. The town of Redruth is a few miles away, offering plenty of family-friendly attractions, such as a heritage museum, theatre & cinema, trampoline park and a park to stroll through. The coast and picturesque sandy beach at Portreath is just two miles away, where you can enjoy surfing and a range of watersports, as well as the Feadon Farm Wildlife & Education Centre and Monkey Hut landmark. From Portreath, you can join the South West Coast Path and enjoy a hike at Carvannel Downs, admire scenic coastal views from Basset's Cove, explore Tehidy Woods and enjoy spectacular cliffs and a fantastic surfing beach at the National Trust's Godrevy. The towns of St Ives and Penzance, with their idyllic harbours and vibrant arts scene, are also within easy reach. Rose Cottage is a fantastic base for exploring both of Cornwall's magnificent coastlines.

Illogan is a small, ex tin-mining community, nestled amongst open countryside, just two miles from the lovely sandy beach at Portreath.
