Inside, the open-plan country kitchen welcomes you with a traditional AGA, a double electric oven, and a large family dining table for gathering over meals. The spacious hallway with slate floors leads into the cosy sitting room, comfortably furnished for 10 and featuring a wood-burning stove. Double doors open out to the terrace, where you can enjoy sea glimpses across the fields. A separate games room with table football and a utility room with washer/dryer add to the cottage’s practical comforts. The ground floor also offers a stylish family shower room with WC.

Upstairs, the light-filled master bedroom features a super king-sized bed, hand basin, and TV. A second double room offers garden views and a king-size bed, while a bunk room and two twin bedrooms (one accessed through the other) provide flexible accommodation for families or groups. A large family bathroom completes the first floor.

The outside space at Primrose Cottage is a true highlight, offering a tranquil and beautifully maintained setting to unwind and enjoy the fresh coastal air. The raised, sun-soaked terrace is furnished with rattan seating and an outdoor dining table - perfect for al fresco meals or relaxing with a glass of wine as the sun sets. The surrounding garden features mature apple trees and a lush lawn, providing a safe and peaceful space for children to play. With views stretching across open fields to the sea beyond, it’s a wonderfully serene spot. There’s even a hot and cold outdoor shower—ideal for rinsing off sandy toes, wetsuits, and muddy paws after a day at the beach.

The cottage was once owned by Oscar-winning composer Sir Malcolm Arnold, who found inspiration here in the 1960s. He was often found in the Farmers Arms, just a couple of miles away!

For larger groups wishing to holiday together, Arnold Cottage is just next door to Primrose Cottage and combined they can accommodate up to 16 guests.
