About this property

Jazmine is a bright detached bungalow in the coastal village of Seaton, Cornwall. Offering an easy-going base for families and friends who want beach days, coastal walks, and relaxed time together, boasting proximity to local amenities and a river, a garden and allows pets. You arrive to parking for two vehicles on the private driveway, where a short path leads you to the front entrance. With no steps, unloading is simple before you step inside and leave the car behind. From the doorway, a long central hallway stretches ahead, making it easy to explore the bungalow room by room. The sitting room sits just off the hallway and is a welcoming place to settle in. Here, the gas fire becomes a natural focal point on cooler evenings, as you stretch out on the sofa, switch on the TV, and unwind after time outdoors. It is a room designed for shared moments, whether that means chatting about the day or enjoying a quiet night in. The lounge leads into kitchen/diner - a practical dining space where daily life naturally gathers. You can walk across the flooring and into a fully fitted kitchen, where morning routines begin with the kettle boiling and evenings are spent preparing meals to enjoy together at the dining table. With plenty of space to cook and dine in one place, this room suits everything from slow breakfasts to relaxed suppers, with thoughtful touches that make longer stays feel easy. All three bedrooms are accessed from the main hallway, giving each space a sense of privacy. The king-size bedroom benefits from its own en-suite wet room with walk-in shower, allowing you to start the day at your own pace. There is also a double bedroom, while the bunk room provides a comfortable retreat for younger guests or someone who enjoys a little independence. Each bedroom is furnished with free-standing furniture, making it simple to unpack and settle in. A separate family shower room is also accessed from the hallway, ideal after days spent by the sea. At the rear of the property, fully glazed sliding patio doors draw you outside into the spacious and secure garden, extending the living space on warm days. The lawn offers room to relax, while seating invites you to linger with a drink in the fresh air. Pets are very welcome here, making it easy to enjoy the space together. The beach is reached on foot, making spontaneous seaside visits part of everyday life, while the river is close by for gentle walks and moments by the water. A pub and local shop are also within easy reach, allowing you to wander out for supplies or an evening drink without needing to drive. Downderry’s location along the Cornwall South Coast opens up a wealth of places to explore. Looe offers harbour-side strolls, boat trips across the water, and independent shops filled with local produce. Polperro draws you in with its narrow lanes, sheltered harbour, and clifftop walks that reveal dramatic coastal views. Plymouth provides a livelier contrast, where you can wander the historic Barbican, enjoy views across the Sound from the Hoe, and explore its waterfront museums and green spaces.

For memorable days out, Looe Island promises wildlife encounters, sea air, and a sense of stepping away from the everyday. The South West Coast Path delivers ever-changing scenery, from rugged headlands to quieter coves, where walking feels immersive and rewarding. Inland, the Tamar Valley offers a softer landscape of riverside paths, countryside views, and traditional villages, perfect for slowing the pace and discovering another side of Cornwall. Settle in and explore Cornwall from Jazmine.

Dacre is a small, quiet village that sits within the Lake District National Park, set amongst rolling Cumbrian countryside. The village offers a pub serving food, with shops available 5 miles away in Penrith. St Andrew’s, the parish church in Dacre, has occupied the site for over 1,000 years and has an ancient cross, which is believed to be pre-Viking. The village also has a castle, which has recently been restored and is now a private residence. Dalemain, an historic house and gardens, is also close by and every year hosts the World’s Original Marmalade Awards. With Ullswater also on the doorstep, and magnificent scenery to be enjoyed down towards Glenridding and Patterdale, which travels southwards towards Ambleside over the Kirkstone Pass, Dacre makes a wonderful base for making the most of this spectacular region.
