River View is a terraced house, split over four levels, with lovely views from the master bedroom and living room down to the Camel River meandering above the eponymous 15th-century bridge. Entrance is to the front of the property, on the ground floor which is staggered over two levels between the front and rear with a few steps between each, the inviting living/dining room at the back of the house being slightly higher than the well-equipped kitchen at the front. Upstairs the master bedroom and family shower room are towards the rear of the house, with the twin bedroom being at the front and slightly higher. This property is calmly decorated with a slight nautical theme running throughout.
Wadebridge is at the halfway point of the Camel trail that follows the idyllic Camel Valley from Bodmin in the east with the river twisting through woods and glades, through Wadebridge and opening out into the tidal estuary stretching 5 miles further west towards Padstow.
Padstow and Rock are a short drive or a lovely walk/cycle ride away, Padstow is famous for being the heart of Rick Stein’s fish empire, but the exquisite cuisine goes further as it is also the home of Paul Ainsworth’s Michelin starred restaurant "No 6." From Padstow, there is a great ferry ride over to Rock, one of the more affluent areas in Cornwall with beautiful beaches stretching round to Daymer Bay and Polzeath and on to Port Isaac (The fictional home of Doc Martin), further west, and the dramatic Bedruthan steps will lead on towards golden sands of Mawgan Porth and Newquay. Beach 7½ miles.

We had a really relaxing time at River View and will definitely book again. The house was warm and easy to get around.

Lovely house, liked the split level aspect. Well equipped kitchen although we didn’t cook much. Close to the town, which is nice, although up a long hill to get back. Close to the camel trail and plenty of lovely places to visit within easy reach.Only negative would have to be the mattress in the main bedroom. Lumpy and hard and found it really uncomfortable. Maybe need to invest in a new one.Would stay again though (preferably with a new mattress).

The cottage/house was ideally situated for exploring the nearby haunts. Padstow. Port Issac. Etc. There were no local shops apart from the CO OP which was 10 minutes away. Although this shop I found very expensive. Eg. A 500ml bottle of water £2.80. What was one of the highlights for me was the quietness and tranquillity. It was bliss. Totally relaxed. Will probably go again in the future
