This 16th century cottage is located in the centre of the pretty village of Bishops Tawton. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, there are many walks and cycling routes around the area, including the Tarka Trail which offers 180 miles of off road cycling, with tearooms and pubs along the way. The local pub offers hearty homemade food which is a delight after a walk up to the top of Codden Hill where you can see Dartmoor. Take a trip to the picturesque village of Instow (10 miles), well known for its attractive dog friendly, sandy waterfront, with a cafe, several pubs and restaurants. In the summer months, hop on the pedestrian boat ferry across to Appledore and stroll around its pretty cobbled streets, with a selection of independent shops and cafes. For surfing lovers, visit Westward Ho! (11 miles) with its 3 miles of sand and surf. This one bedroom thatched cottage has been beautifully renovated and still has many of its original features, including oak beams.
