Barnstaple is a bustling traditional Devon seaside town with a pannier market, shops, restaurants, and bars, as well as two fantastic sandy beaches that attract surfers and children. Flowers may be found around every corner of the town, in the most unlikely places, and the town has won a Britain in Bloom award for its floral displays.
