Guests say

Slade Barn is a well-equipped, family-friendly cottage with stunning views, ideal for larger families and pet owners. Guests appreciate the tranquil farm setting, the provision of children's toys, and the warm welcome from the hosts. The property's remote location offers peace and quiet, though it requires a drive for amenities and is accessed via narrow roads.

The property generally met guests' expectations for cleanliness, though one review mentioned it could benefit from a deeper clean. Bedding and towels were noted as not smelling fresh in one instance.

The location is praised for its peacefulness and stunning views. However, its remoteness and the condition of the access roads were noted as downsides, along with a lack of local amenities and walking areas for dogs.

Guests found the cottage comfortable, with a spacious living area and a variety of sleeping arrangements suitable for families and guests with limited mobility. The provision of smart TVs added to the comfort.

The property is well-equipped, especially for families and pet owners, with a cot, high chair, and stair gates mentioned. The kitchen was noted as needing more baking trays, and a suggestion was made for shelves in the shower.

The hosts' thoughtfulness is evident in their warm welcome and provision of age-appropriate toys, dog essentials, and a decorated cottage for Christmas. Guests were also greeted with tea, coffee, milk, and biscuits, though such gifts are kindly offered and may not be guaranteed.

Lovely barn, in the middle of nowhere, which was exactly what we wanted. Lovely quiet roads to take the dog for his early and late walk.Good selection of dvd’s if nothing on the tv also plenty of toys for children. No shops anywhere near so take what you’re going to need. Easy drive to the beach.

We had a fantastic stay at Slade Barn. The property is like a real home from home. So well equipped, especially for families with young children. The barn can comfortably sleep larger families with a king sized master bedroom with en-suite downstairs, 2 double beds and a single bed upstairs. The downstairs bedroom was perfect for our family member with limited mobility. The owners left out age appropriate toys which our son loved. There is also a cot in one of the double bedrooms, a high chair and stair gates provided. They have lots of bits for 4 legged family members so you could take a dog with you too! The open plan living/kitchen area is beautiful. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals each day. There are 2 smart TVs so we could watch Netflix/prime etc easily. The views from the property are stunning and we were so lucky with some great sunny autumn weather. There are so many places to visit within a 30 minute drive including seaside towns and tourist attractions. Our 3 year old particularly enjoyed the dinosaurs at Coombe Martin wildlife park. Thanks for such a lovely stay, we hope to be back again next year!

Very rural. No local amenities so make sure supplies are picked up while out. Roads aren't good until you get on main road. Peaceful location and everything you need in the Barn. Great area on patio for sitting out in the sun. Towels and bedding didn't smell fresh, but didn't spoil our holiday as we took some of our own too. Owners were lovely and friendly and met us on arrival which I liked. Had a lovely meal at The Castle Inn 20 mins away but Roads weren't great getting there. Would recommend this place
