Site Description
Grattons Cedar Lodges are set within a quiet picturesque hillside garden location on the edge of the village of Berrynarbor. Nestled in an area of outstanding natural beauty with stunning valley and sea views. There are two pubs and a shop nearby.
Positioned just a mile away from Exmoor National Park and close to some of the best beaches in the country with the south west coastal path nearby, it’s an ideal base from which to explore the scenery of North Devon or just to relax in the peace and tranquillity of the garden setting.
A children’s play area, a field for dog walking and a laundry room are available on site.
For all 2019 bookings the park will no longer be offering towel hire and visitors will need to bring their own.

The lodge smelled clean on arrival but closer inspection found dirt and hair in the fridge, dirty cups and cutlery. Hoovers and brushes were provided but I went and bought more cleaning products for the shower and toilet. A mop would have been a great addition too.

Overall we were hugely impressed with the location and the lodge, although there were a few problems which is why I scored an 8/10. The bathroom tap was loose so when you turned it on, the tap would spin. The table and chairs would benefit from some wood care, or replacing, and we had a visit from a mouse. Unfortunately, we left a bin bag inside ready to be taken away the next day, so the mouse had bitten through the bag to the food waste. The sofa was very uncomfortable, so we tried to spend as little time inside. We would visit again, and hopefully we’ll be able to score 10/10

When we arrived all looks nice and clean but we then quickly discovered lots of dust, grey dog hairs (basically dust behind all furnitures). We had no access to broom. No bin liner made available.
