This cosy cottage is the epitome of relaxation. Nestled within 80 acres of working farmland, it offers a peaceful stay for four guests who wish to see more of the rugged Exmoor National Park, which is just a few miles away.

Admire the tranquil placement of this reverse level cottage as you head inside and are greeted with rustic exposed beams and farmhouse-style doors. The cosy first floor open-plan living space is adorable, and with its cheery accents, you won't be able to help but smile as you unwind on the sofa. Spend the evenings watching your favourite movies on the Smart TV before making your way into the kitchen space to rustle up some tasty treats with the ingredients you sourced earlier. Make use of balmy evenings in the garden, or perhaps light the BBQ for an al fresco feast. On the ground floor you'll find a welcoming double bedroom and an inviting twin room at the end of each fun-packed day, as well as a shower room with a WC. Should you be visiting between mid-May and the end of September, you may like to spend your mornings doing a few laps in the shared heated swimming pool before treating yourself to fresh pastries and orange juice on the patio.

This location is close to some fascinating walking routes and activities. Enjoy diving into the depths of the countryside when you visit Exmoor National Park (11 miles). With challenging cycle trails, horseback riding, and hiking routes, you'll always be caught up in things to see and do. Eggesford (8 miles) is a lovely place for birdwatchers to explore. Bring your binoculars and admire green woodpeckers, treecreepers and nuthatches here. Alternatively, pop by the market town of Chumleigh (2.5 miles) and tuck into homemade scones with cream and jam.
