Top location where several places are only approx 10 15 mins away in a car. House set in lovely village which has a pub , church and local shop. House had the most comfy beds i have ever slept in. parking for 2 cars but awkward to get in and out and difficult to turn if you own a big car. Welcome pack was minimal milk and pack of biscuits. House generally clean but sticky work tops and smelt of dog as did some towels. No microwave which we found odd also ran out of hot water and were told it was on a timer as was heating. I find it tight you cannot put water or heating on and only tv had been restricted to use less energy. House full of copper brass fittings etc and fancy lights shame blinds didn’t lift has couldn’t open the sliding doors. House also small for us 5 big people struggled not to bang heads and sofa not very big certainly not for 6 people. Would recommend to a small family as great location and nice fittings. as long as you don’t want a bath as this will leave you with no hot water.

We had a wonderful week at Olive Tree House. Beautifully appointed with high quality appliances and everything you could need in the kitchen. Beds were super comfy (the best I’ve slept in at a holiday cottage) and the showers were amazing!West Down itself is a beautiful, quiet village with a real community atmosphere. A stone’s throw to the pub and shop.A great location to explore North Devon, you’re about a 10 minute drive to the beach. Will be rebooking for next year.
