Formerly a farm workers cottage, Greenhill Cottage combines original features with contemporary finishes and furnishings and offers its visitors a stylish and comfortable space to fully unwind at any time of year. In warmer months guests can make use of the mature, fully enclosed rear garden or watch the leisurely-paced village life go by from the peaceful front courtyard, soaking up the warm sunshine whilst looking over the local fields and beyond to the village church. When nights draw-in and the cooler temperatures arrive, if the 100m stroll to the Fortescue Arms and its open fires is just that little too far, it’s time to get cosy by the log burner and watch a movie on the smart TV. Regularly used and enjoyed for family holidays, the cottage is presented with many nice touches and includes modern day conveniences to ensure a fantastic holiday is enjoyed by all.
Accommodation
Front door to entrance porch with doorway to sitting room.
Sitting room with 2-seater sofa, two armchairs, smart TV, wood burner, stairway to first floor and door to open-plan kitchen/diner.
Dining area with table and chairs to seat 6.
Kitchen with electric hob and oven, dishwasher, under counter fridge with freezer box, washing machine, microwave, nespresso coffee maker, kettle and toaster.
Stairs to first floor:
Family bathroom with bath and shower over it, wash basin, w/c and towel rail.
Master bedroom with 5ft king bed.
Bedroom 2 with twin 3ft single beds.
Outside
Tiled courtyard garden to the front of the property with a bench. Self-contained lawned garden to the rear of the property with outhouse offering additional storage for beach items etc.
Garden chairs in the outhouse that can also be used at the beach.
Parking
There is on-street parking opposite the property. Parking on the road is unrestricted and on a first come basis, although there is plenty of space along the road.
Additional
Included: Duvets, pillows, bed linen, towels (guests will need to bring their own beach towels), water, electricity, washing machine, iron and ironing board, clothes airer, vacuum cleaner, travel cot/duvet, stair gate and high chair.
Pets: 2 small or 1 medium well behaved dog/s welcome. Dog charge £30.00 per dog per week. No puppies under 12 months.
Internet and Telephone: Wi-Fi available free of charge. No landline telephone available. Mobile reception generally fair but please check with your provider prior to booking.
Electric Vehicles: Please note that this property does not have suitable facilities for charging electric vehicles.
Local facilities: Numerous beaches within 15-20 minute drive. The Fortescue Arms and the village community store within a few minutes’ walk. Kingsbridge with all its amenities and facilities 4 miles. Totnes 10 miles and Dartmouth and Salcombe just over 10 miles.
