Wadadli Lodge offers a peaceful and convenient base for exploring South West Devon, with lovely views and a warm, private swimming pool that is a highlight for many guests. The open-plan living area is comfortable and well-equipped, particularly the kitchen. While the location and general comfort are praised, several guests note that the property is showing signs of age and would benefit from updated maintenance and more accurate website photos. Overall, guests enjoyed their stay, especially the tranquil setting and pool, though some felt the property did not fully meet luxury expectations.
Most guests found the property clean and tidy, but some mentioned issues such as dirty outdoor furniture and concerns about the pool's cleanliness. There were also comments about worn furniture and some maintenance-related cleanliness concerns.
The location is consistently praised for its peacefulness, beautiful views, and convenient access to beaches, Plymouth, and Dartmoor, making it ideal for exploring the area.
Guests found the beds comfortable and the open-plan living area relaxing. The en-suite bathrooms and spacious layout were appreciated, though some noted worn furniture and minor maintenance issues affecting comfort.
The swimming pool is a standout feature and was enjoyed by most guests. However, several reviews mention maintenance issues such as broken blinds, sticking doors, worn decking, and outdated kitchen utensils. The property would benefit from some refurbishment.
There are no mentions of welcome gifts or extra thoughtful touches in the reviews, so a score cannot be provided for this category.

We had an enjoyable holiday, the location is beautiful although the property is showing signs of age. If the photos were updated to reflect the surroundings i am not sure i would have chosen this property. Maintenance is required, light bulbs need replacing in bedside table lamps and bedroom ceilings, a shower door needs replacing, Oven trays are not fit for use and need replacing. The view from the property is lovely and very relaxing and the swimming pool was fantastic and always warm however the property is well below the standard we expected for the high price we paid. In my opinion the photos should be updated and cost lowered to reflect the property.

Wadadli Is a great house with a good outlook. The house is showing its age now, and it needs a lot of TLC everything was clean and tidy. The previous comments regarding the pool not being safe were not what we experienced as we spent every day swimming. The bathrooms were a good size but again some in need TLC the lights needed new bulbs and one of the shower doors the previous guest had broken and a make shift curtain needed to be used which made the floor wet and slippery? great location and peaceful. I would not class the accommodation as luxury in its current state. We had a fantastic holiday and would recommend.

The photographs on the website are out of date e.g. the living area is not at all like the pictures, furniture worn and hidden with throws. Decking areas are patched worked new and old. I actually put my foot thru a rotten board, fortunately was not hurt. there is no longer a view over nearest fields from the pool or lodge. Better maintenance and TLC is required. The pool was only used once as did not feel it was safe due to being dirty and brown stains on the bottom and sides of the pool. Kitchen utensils need upgrading. Door handles loose, twin bedroom bathroom handle came off in my hand. Also outdoor furniture around pool dirty and wooden furniture rotten in some parts. The location and views are nice and convenient for exploring. However, I was truly disappointed with our stay and upset that the money we paid for a luxury lodge and pool was completely misleading. I am sorry I have, had to leave,a poor review but it feels the owners have just neglected the property for a long time. I feel for those who have already booked because they will also feel the disappointment we felt during our stay.
