stayed here for Christmas... the whole place needs looking at ... water came through the ceiling in lounge when my daughter had a shower.. when it rained it came in through the fireplace ... the electric hob wouldn't stay on ruined our Xmas dinner.... why there is only a 4 seater sofa for 6 people is a joke couldn't all sit together... the dinning table extending piece was missing... its far to small for 6 people the dinning table being in the kitchen was just in the way no wonder they don't show many pictures definitely won't be returning or recommending

Absolutely terrible cottage, would never return. The front of the cottage and the entrance says all you need to know about the interior, very scruffy and tired. This cottage seriously needs a good update, was scruffy and a poor finish in all rooms. In Particular the mattresses must be at least 15 years old, I can honestly say I couldn’t wait to leave as 3 nights on a mattress that is so soft and felt insecure on the base was as much as my family and I could take, they were unbearable. The upstairs including the bathroom is very pokey as in the loft space of the cottage so if you are taller than 5ft you’re going to struggle to stand under the shower head. The outside space is really off putting, you enter through an industrial looking gate and a badly maintained wall around it and the cottage sits next to what I’m guessing is the site club house that looks to be under renovation currently, so the garden is surrounded on one side by metal 6ft barriers so not safe for children to play in. When the shower was in use we had a drip of water coming down into the downstairs living area and dripping on the sofa, just a few of the many issues at this cottage that need addressing. I’m baffled by the many good reviews on this cottage, as I have never stayed anywhere that is as run down as this property
