The historic market town of Newton Abbot is just 2 miles away, where you’ll find a wide variety of shops and amenities and a mainline railway station. For a day at the seaside, the beaches of Teignmouth, Shaldon and Dawlish are within 8 miles, while Dartmoor National Park, home to picturesque villages and wonderful hiking trails, is less than 7 miles distant. There are also numerous country parks and National Trust homes, gardens and historic buildings to visit, as well as the popular coastal steam train running from Paignton to Dartmouth, where it links with the picturesque boat trip up the River Dart to Totnes.
