(6 miles) is one of North Cornwall’s most popular destinations for water sports lovers, with the streets surrounding its sandy beach packed with dog-friendly pubs, cafes and independent shops. Bude (17 miles), on the River Neet (or Strat), and Appledore and Bideford (both 12 miles), on the River Torridge, are well worth a visit.
