Offering stunning sea views and convenient private parking for up to two cars, this single-storey retreat welcomes two well-behaved dogs, making it an ideal escape for families or friends seeking seaside adventures. Upon entering Big Bertha by the Sea, you will be greeted by an open-plan layout, thoughtfully designed for your ease and convenience. Here, you can relax and unwind, catching up on your favourite shows on the TV, while the chef of the group takes advantage of the array of appliances at their disposal.

With an electric oven and hob, microwave, air fryer, and Tassimo coffee maker, not to mention a dishwasher for easy clean-up, meal preparation will be a breeze. Adjacent to the kitchen, you'll find a handy utility room housing a washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge/freezer, and an additional freezer, ensuring you have all the amenities you need for a pleasant stay. The property boasts two well-appointed bedrooms, a king-size and a twin (can be a 4 ft 6 double on request if adults staying), both offering a tranquil retreat after a day of coastal exploration. Both bedrooms also boast black out curtains for a good nights sleep.

Freshen up in the sleek shower room, equipped with a walk-in shower/ small children's bath, basin, basin, and WC. A cloakroom with a basin and WC completes the interior of this delightful caravan. Step outside onto the decking, where you can enjoy your morning coffee on warmer evenings, all while taking in the stunning sea views. The outdoor furniture provides the perfect spot to relax and soak up the Devon sunshine, making Big Bertha by the Sea a truly idyllic coastal retreat. In the immediate surroundings, families will love a day out at The BIG Sheep, an award-winning farm amusement park, or perhaps a leisurely stroll around Victoria Park.

The big (and little) kids in the group will find much excitement at Carousel Amusements or perhaps bounce to their heart's content at the Air Extreme Trampoline Park. Foodies and antiques seekers will find a paradise in Barnstaple Pannier Market, one of Britain’s oldest and largest indoor markets. Golfers can enjoy The Royal North Devon Golf Club which boasts as the oldest golf club in England, the course being designed in 1864. Avid gardeners will love exploring the beautiful Marwood Hill Gardens with lakes, tree collections, herbaceous borders, and a tea room boasting spectacular views. Drive further afield to Ilfracombe, where you will find the natural harbour, resplendent with boats of all sizes and shapes, the Watermouth Castle, home to a fascinating family theme park, and the Ilfracombe Aquarium, a perfect pit stop for those interested in marine life.

The diversity of North Devon is there for you to explore right from the door of Big Bertha by the Sea.

Northam is a small village with a restaurant, pub, takeaway and small supermarket and lies on the hill above the lively village of Westward Ho! Westward Ho! has a two mile long glorious sandy beach, an excellent selection of cafes, bars and restaurants, a surf school and shops. The beach is popular for surfing and kite surfing, plus life guards are on duty during the summer season and there's a designated dog area. The Tarka Trail runs through Bideford and is especially popular with cyclists, with cycle hire, including child buggies and even dog buggies available here and at many places along the way. Northam Burrows is part of North Devon’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is enjoyed by walkers, and the Royal North Devon Golf Club is also here. For the more energetic the coastal path to Peppercombe and Clovelly offers stunning views along the coastline. From Bideford there are boat trips to Lundy Island, and nearby Appledore has fascinating narrow streets, interesting shops, fish and chips shops and a restaurant, as well as fishing trips. Family attractions nearby include the Big Sheep and Milky Way, as well as National Trust properties, Hartland Abbey, RHS Rosemoor and Dartington Glass. Also Clovelly is delightful with its quay, steep cobbled streets and donkeys and no cars are allowed down into the village. There's plenty to see and do from Northam.
