Pillhead Cart Linhay is a bright single-storey cottage set on a 130-acre working sheep farm within a valley, just two miles from Bideford and within easy reach of the North Devon coast, offering an inviting base for families. One of three barn conversions, the property enjoys shared access to extensive grounds and a seasonal outdoor swimming pool.

Step inside via a couple of steps into the light-filled sitting room, where you can settle in with the TV, gather around the dining table, or step straight out into the garden. The kitchen is well-equipped for preparing meals using local Devon produce, making it easy to dine together after a day out exploring.

The two bedrooms are airy and well-presented, making the most of natural light, while a family bathroom serves both rooms. Outside, the shared outdoor pool is solar heated and accompanied by a paddling pool, ideal for younger guests. After a swim, relax on the sun terrace or enjoy time in the orchard. To the side of the cottage, the enclosed garden provides a pleasant spot for alfresco dining while taking in views across the valley. Beyond, the surrounding farmland offers space to explore, while nearby routes such as the Tarka Trail are perfect for walking and cycling. The coast is easily reached, with Westward Ho! offering a wide sandy beach, while further surfing opportunities await at Saunton and Woolacombe. The nearby town of Bideford also provides shops, eateries, and local attractions, along with boat trips to Lundy Island. The Pillhead Cart Linhay combines a bright interior, rural setting, and excellent access to the North Devon coastline, making it a great base for a varied holiday.

Straddling the Torridge estuary, the quaint bustling town of Bideford boasts a medieval bridge, town quay, quaint pannier market and vibrant shopping area - all well worth a visit. For the more active, several major surfing beaches, golf courses, theme parks and other attractions are nearby and the South West coast path passes close by on its way into Cornwall. The beautiful cliff-top fishing village of Clovelly is half an hour by road, and the delights of Exmoor and Dartmoor can be reached in under an hour. Surf the waves, stroll through pretty villages, wander along the Tarka Trail, visit a famous garden or have some fun at one of the local theme or farm parks – it’s all on the doorstep.

Two well-behaved dogs welcome (no other pets), whilst the property is on a very dog friendly farm and welcomes your four-legged companions, please note due to the possibility of livestock roaming free, no dogs are permitted within the farm fields.
