Woolsery 3 miles. Located in Hartland Forest Lodges near Woolsery, Stonewood Lodge is a delightful, one-storey lodge surrounded by stunning woodland scenery. The property is perfect for two couples or a group of friends seeking a rural escape in North Devon, where you'll be close to its spectacular coastline. Stonewood Lodge has a traditional stone wall and wooden panel exterior, and inside you will find a more contemporary open-plan living area, with plenty of space and light. The kitchen includes an electric hob, oven, microwave and fridge/freezer to impress your guests with a home-cooked meal, after which you can choose from the selection of DVDs and settle down on the corner sofa for a movie marathon.
Stonewood Lodge contains one king-size zip/link and another Twin bed which can be changed to King size on request., Access to a private decking area with outdoor seating overlooking the trees; both bedrooms have TVs so you can roll over and watch your favourite show before getting ready for the day ahead. In the bathroom, the heated towel rail will warm up your towels whilst you get washed and ready. Stonewood Lodge also has an enclosed outdoor decking with furniture to make the most of the surrounding countryside, whether that's with a cold beer to finish off the day, or a hot coffee to get you started.
If you fancy heading out and seeking a pub, Woolsery is a quaint little village and just a short journey away, where you can find a shop, pub and bakery, as well as a fascinating Grade 1 Listed Building, All Hallow's Church. Heading north, you will reach Bideford, an historic port town, near to the stunning Westward Ho beach and Northam Burrows Country Park offering great days out; in the town there are plenty of shops, restaurants and cafés to keep you fueled. To the south of Stonewood Lodge lies Bude, a classically Cornish seaside town with a thriving cultural hub and plenty of opportunities for watersports, from surfing and sailing to taking a gentle swim in Bude Sea Pool.

Woolsery is a small village situated in the heart of North Devon, with a local shop and pub. There is also an independently owned cake shop called The Little Pantry. All Hallows’ Church is a beautiful parish church and a Grade 1 British Listed Building sitting in the centre. The village is also surrounding by countryside and a great location for avid walkers, as well as for exploring local villages and towns, such as Clovelly with its 14th century harbour, or surfing in Bude.

The most meticulously clean and tidy accommodation we have ever stayed in. It was really Well equipped and very comfortable. The local shop in Woolsery, a few miles away was just ideal for the morning paper and was stocked with delicious fresh local produce with an extensive range of grocery items. as well as a Post Office. The chip shop next door was also excellent. The Lodge is ideally situated for exploring North Devon and the surrounding area, Clovelly, our favourite was simply stunning and of course less than 4 miles away you are in Cornwall. A great week away, thank you so much.

The dogs had a wonderful time and we just relaxed. Loved being away from it all, beautiful surroundings and so peaceful. Canât fault the cottage/cabin, had everything we needed. We will definitely be back to stay again xx

Quiet and comfortable and in easy reach of the coast. Biggest 5 stars was a list of things you could do and that were available in the property which is a refreshing change from a list of things you can't!! Especially made a relaxing stay with 2 dogs so thank you we all loved it and would wholly recommend
